Post Camino - Day 1 Santiago to Madrid

I changed my schedule. Plan was to take a bus tour from Santiago to the Atlantic coast to visit Finisterre (end if the world” and Muxia. Many pilgrims walk it from Santiago, adds 3 days and many just bus it. The forecast is for lots of rain so I cancelled and added a third night to my Madrid scheduled time. So happy I did already. The weather here is great, hot and great. It gave me the chance to buy a ticket for tomorrows Rolling Stones concert. I am so excited. They were formed in 1962 when I was 10 and they were huge through my high school and University years. Be fun to see them in a big soccer stadium.

The renter into a very busy city, riding the trains and the huge crowds out in the streets (who are not on the Camino) was an extra sensory load …. Had to go find a quite coffee shop away from everything to get back some of the zen state I was in. I LOVE MADRID!!! One of my top 5 big cities in the world. Been here a few times, one time was on 9/11 while I was VP of Sales and was visiting clients in Madrid, Paris and London that week, will never forget it. So the next two days are just hanging out Spanish style and the Stones!!! Also a stop at the best Churros and hot chocolate place in the world, CHOCOLATERIA SAN GINES. Also snacking at the MERCADO DE SAN MIGUEL, 5 minutes from my Airbnb. Some photos below. Pricey but unbelievable food.

Friday flight home and I will stop the blogging.
