A very casual 16KM walk today through some small hamlets in a beautiful green valley along the Valcarse river. Most of it in a slow incline as I approach the point early tomorrow when the incline will be the steepest of the trip toward O’Cebreiro at 1330 Meter elevation. Currently at 600 M, only 12.5Km distance but all up.

Got in to my hostel in Vega early (around noon, short walk today, for me), a beautiful room with a balcony overseeing a shallow stream of crustal clear water running on a beautiful rock bed. Green mountains all around and quite. A great afternoon for just being, listening to the birds and hanging out. A nice little lunch at a local artesian bakery, delicious. Very hard life.
